Most owners can name their main suppliers but not what sits behind them or how goods actually move. The toolkit’s chain map draws the whole path so that risks and costs become visible.

Tiers upstream

Your direct suppliers, then their key suppliers where you can find out. A single-source component two tiers back is a risk you cannot see without the map.

Nodes and flows

Factories, warehouses, ports, carriers, and your own locations, with the flows of goods, information, and money between them. Lead times on each arrow.

Downstream to the customer

Your fulfillment, carriers, and any retail or distribution partners. The map ends at the customer’s door, not at your warehouse.

Keep the first pass to your top products and suppliers by spend; the toolkit is designed to be extended once the method is proven on the items that matter most.

Action Step

Draw the chain map for your top product from raw material to customer with lead times on every link.
